Bhabani Nath’s ‘Ramayana’:An Experimental Analysis of An Uncomposed Manuscript

Abstract

“Realizing the urgent necessity of preserving old manuscripts of Sanskrit and vernacular literature from destruction and disappearance from India, Viswa-Bharati has undertaken to collect, edit and utilize them for public benefit… it is needless to say that any old manuscripts sent to us that have a literary or historical importance, will be gratefully received by our institution and preserved in Viswa-Bharati.” (RabindraNath Tagore, ‘Letter to editor in quest of rate manuscripts’, 2nd February, 1923 A.D) Tagore’s this comment is an undisputed truth in the ancient hand written manuscripts of late, Bhabaninath’s manuscripts ‘RAMAYANA’ of Bengali Ramayana enriched the history of Bengali literature. The study of manuscriptology in the middle period is very colorful. In Sanskrit literature, Balmiki is well established while the study of Ramayana is concerned where Krittibasa is famous in Bengali literature studding Ramayana. Of course, it is true that Bhabaninath’s entertaining creative talent took him to a famous position.Bhabaninath’s ‘RAMAYANA’ is an in-depth analysis of an unread manuscript. The ancient manuscripts bear the identity of national unity. In respect of 17th centaury social life the significant of Bhabaninath’s ‘RAMAYANA’ on Ramayana is undeniable. This translation of Ramayana in the middle period is a modern edition consequently; Bhabaninath became the founder of the new edition of Ramayana. After Krittibas, he is well establishment as the second famous poet. The Ramayana Manuscript of ‘RAMAYANA’ by Bhabaninath’s favourite in the Bengali literature. The present study is automatic consequential approaches of analystic perspective of explain the issue in a more comprehensive way.
