Big Data towards Decision-Making Culture in Organization

Abstract

Big data is data sets that are so voluminous and complex that traditional data-processing application software is inadequate to deal with them. Big data challenges include capturing data, data storage, data analysis, search, sharing, transfer, visualization, querying, updating, information privacy and data source. There are five dimensions to big data known as Volume, Variety, Velocity and the recently added Veracity, Value and Variability. This article discusses the capabilities of organizational involved in the big data chain of information, influences the outcomes in making decision.
