Bilateral Femoral Duplication and Fibular Agenesis Associated with Bilateral Lower Limb Ectrodactyly: A Rare Case Report
Journal Title: International Journal of Anatomy Radiology and Surgery - Year 2018, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
Limb deficiency disorders are rare, aetiologically heterogeneous skeletal dysplasias, they may occur as an isolated anomaly or as a part of syndrome. Femoral duplication is a rare anomaly which has been described as an isolated entity or in association with other congenital defects. We present the case of a 5-month-old male child with multiple congenital skeletal anomalies including protuberance on the bilateral lower legs, ectrodactyly of both feet, bilateral equinovarus deformity, genu valgum with knee flexion deformity and pre-axial polydactyly of the left hand. On detailed clinical evaluation of the patient, a provisional diagnosis of arthrogryposis multiplex congenital was made. Detailed radiographic imaging of the child was performed and multiple skeletal anomalies were identified.

Morphological Study of Fissures, Lobes and Bronchial Pattern in the Lungs-A Cadaveric Study with Emphasis on Surgical and Radiological Implications
Introduction: Lungs are divided into lobes by the oblique and the transverse (horizontal) fissures. Knowledge about these fissures is necessary for the appreciation of lobar anatomy and for locating the bronchopulmonary...
Radiological Study on the Incidence and Clinical Importance of Os Vesalianum of 5th Metatarsal Bone
ABSTRACT Introduction: Os Vesalianum (OSV) is an accessory ossicle of the foot, first described by Andreas Vesalius, during 1543 in “de humani corporis fabrica”. It is located proximal to the base of the fifth metatarsal...
