[b]INCREASING THE RESIDUAL LIFE OF HOISTING CABLES BY IMPROVING THE METHODS OF THEIR DEFLECTED MODE CALCULATION[/b]

Abstract
To describe the general behavior of cables, overtravels - shifts toward the natural trihedron axes and cross rotation around the wire longitudinal axis - have been introduced. The obtained formulas enable a more accurate consideration of the deflected mode of closed spiral cables, thus determining internal forces in the cable and developing scientifically substantiated methods of reliable and durable cable design.
