Innovative technology through selective laser sintering in mechatronics, biomedical engineering and industry
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
A new technology, using new materials specially designed for complex geometries, extensively used in research-development and innovation area will be presented in this paper. Even highly complex geometries are created directly from 3D CAD data, fully automatically, in just a few hours and without any tooling. It is a net-shape process, producing parts with high accuracy and detail resolution, good surface quality and excellent mechanical properties.

Dichotomic Structure of DAEs Solutions for the Aircraft Control
The paper has its roots in earlier studies focused on DAEs solutions, for the aircraft flight control and intends to be a synthesis of them. The main goal is to structure the solution for the control laws so as to derive...
Determination of flow front velocity and optimal injection pressures for better impregnation of E-glass with polyester in resin transfer mold
Flow front velocity of resin plays a key role in yielding better impregnation of fiber reinforcement in resin transfer molding to fabricate quality composites. A video camera was used to capture the patterns of resin flo...
CFD Analysis of UAV Flying Wing
Numerical methods for solving equations describing the evolution of 3D fluid experienced a significant development closely related to the progress of information systems. Today, especially in the field of fluid mechanics...
Aero-Acoustic assessment of installed propellers
The volume of general aviation transport is increasing and consequently this gives rise to the need for reducing noise levels while improving or at least maintaining the same level of aerodynamic performance. This can be...
Optimization study of using PTC for human body heating dissipation
A better knowledge of the human body heat loses mechanisms is important for both diminishing the number of deaths during the surgical procedures of the patients under effect of full anaesthesia and increasing the efficie...
