Biometrics Authentication using Electrocardiogram Approach
Journal Title: Engineering and Scientific International Journal - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
Biometrics is a secure alternative for traditional methods in identity verification [1]. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an emerging biometric security mechanism. Biometric measures are used in many different areas and industries to provide a relatively high level security. The word biological is based on DeoxyriboNucleic Acid (DNA), behavioural is based on gait or keystroke dynamic, and morphological is based on uniqueness for all people like fingerprint or face etc. [2]. ECG is combined with commonly used face biometric and fingerprint biometric. The uniqueness of the electrocardiogram signal has encouraged its use in building different biometric identification systems. It is also a source of supplementary information to a multi biometric system; it shows moderate performance in a uni-model framework. The concerns involved to use ECG as a biometric for individual authentication are the lack of standardization in signal features and the presence of acquisition variations. Otherwise this make the errant users to hack the data or information.

Finite Element Analysis of Reinforced Glass Beams using ABAQUS Software
Glass is used in buildings as partition wall, window panels, etc in the past centuries as a non structural element which do not carry loads other than its self weight. But it is used as structural element for the past fe...
Biosynthesis and Characterization of Silver nanoparticles from the marine seaweedSargassumplagiophyllum
—Synthesis of Nanomaterials from biological source is a relatively new bloom in nanotechnology which is cheaper and has benefits over chemical and physical process of synthesis. The present work focussed on the synthesis...
Multilevel Data Security and Revocability in Cloud Storage System
In this paper, we propose a data security protection mechanism with revocability for cloud storage system. An encrypted message is send from the sender to receiver through a cloud storage server. The sender only knows th...
Self-Similar Cylindrical Ionizing Shock Waves in a Non-uniform Gas with Radiation Heat-Flux
Self-similar flows in the background, a gasionizing cylindrical shock wave, associated with radiation heat-flux, in an ideal gas are considered. The ionizing shock is considered to be propagating in a medium at rest with...
Comparative analysis of different Edge detection techniques for biomedical images using MATLAB
Edge detection appreciably preserves the important structural properties in an image and filters out unwanted information while reducing the amount of data. Edges outline the boundaries and are therefore a problem of fun...
