Bodies of Rato Booster Rockets Made of Maraging Steel
Journal Title: Problemy Mechatroniki. Uzbrojenie, lotnictwo, inżynieria bezpieczeństwa - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper presents the results of examinations carried out to determine the possibilities of application of super-clean 300 ksi maraging steel instead of 28H3SNMWFAŻ steel to produce the bodies of RATO booster rockets. The studies of basic physical properties, cold formability, temperatures of phase transformations, and parameters of precipitation hardening of 300 ksi maraging steel were carried out.

Chosen Issues of Military Radar Protection Against Antiradiation Missiles
The paper deals with the concept of suppression of enemy air defence with antiradiation missiles (ARM). ARM performance metrics and parameters are presented and compared. Some Anti-ARM techniques are discussed, i.e. low...
The Analysis of the Processes Influencing on the Projectile Movement in the Period of Transitory Ballistics. Part I. An Analysis of Shock Parameters of the Gases Compressed by Projectile Moving in the Barrel
In the paper evaluation of the parameters of gases compressed by the piston moving in the tube is presented. The relations describing values of the pressure and mass density of the compressed gas as well as velocity of s...
Numerical Calculations of Non-Stationary Temperature Fields in Non-Cooled Rocket Engine Nozzle with a Inset of Minimum Thermal Conductivity in the Radial Direction
The paper is a complement to the calculations illustrated and described in the Military University of Technology Bulletin, in the paper [10]. The initial numerical calculations of non-stationary heat transfer in non-cool...
Numerical Analysis of the Effects of the Geometric and Weight Parameters on the Exterior Ballistics of a Designed Counterprojectile
This paper presents a selection of deliverables of a research project intended to develop a technology demonstrator for an active protection system smart counterprojectile. Numerical simulations were completed to analyse...
Analysis of Thermal Decomposition of Solid Rocket Propellants
The paper presents results of thermal decomposition analysis of selected solid rocket propellants. Homogeneous propellant PAC and heterogeneous propellant H2 were subjected to simultaneous thermal analysis with the use o...
