Payment Services Market as an Entrepreneurship Development Tool – Legal Financial Aspects

Abstract

One of the main elements that creates a single financial services market of the European Union is a retail financial services market. Its products are addressed to the average users of banking services, which include small and medium-sized businesses. The latter undoubtedly constitute an important client group for financial institutions. It must be emphasised though, that many of the decisions made by this broadly understood financial services consumer group are based on the price and availability of the banking services offered. Insufficient information from the financial sector is frequently the reason why consumers choose to buy from the local market only, and are apprehensive about modern technological solutions that accompany new financial services, such as, for example, e-payments or e-money. The regulation of those will be the subject of the planned publication. Payment services are among the most dynamically developing areas of the financial market today. Their use is believed to increase cash flow which is of major importance for entrepreneurship and economy within the European Union.
