Brain MRI segmentation by using extended heuriatic DBSCAN

Journal Title: Journal of Science and today’s world - Year 2014, Vol 3, Issue 12

Abstract

Today is a valuable tool for medical diagnostic imaging. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), digital mammography and other imaging techniques is an effective tool for mapping the anatomy of a thread. This technology greatly increases patient knowledge of normal anatomy as well as a vital component in diagnosis and treatment. With the increasing size and number of medical images, using a computer to facilitate the processing and analysis of images has become an imperative. General computer algorithm for determining the anatomical structures and other regions of interest are a key component. These algorithms are called algorithms for segmentation plays a crucial role in several practical applications, such as medical imaging, tissue volumes, diagnosis, focusing on the area of abnormality (diseases), examine the anatomy, plan treatment, modifying the volume of imaging data there[1].
