BRANCHED SYSTEMS WITH NONLINEAR KINEMATICS – COMPUTER-AIDED ANALYSIS & DESIGN
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2010, Vol 55, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper presents a computer-aided modeling way of the branched systems with nonlinear kinematics that make possible the design and the analysis, as well. Being very complex systems, the elasto-dynamic study of the real branched systems with nonlinear kinematics require a treatment with special tools. The paper shows how the computational mechanics allowed us to create these necessary study tools.

ON THE EFFECTS CAUSED BY THE SHOCK DURING RAILWAY VEHICLE BUFFING
A theory of shock caused by the buffing of railway vehicles is presented. It considers kinematic parameters and forces as response of the mechanical system caused by the vehicles that are effectively taking part in the b...
CHECKING ROBUSTNESS FOR A CONCRETE ROADWAY VIADUCT
Experts’ pursuits in constructions are connected now with the structural robustness’ notions and how to prevent the partial, full or disproportioned collapse. The question: “What is robustness?” has by far no unitary and...
TRAJECTORY PLANNING OF A PENDULUM-DRIVEN UNDERACTUATED CAR
The control problem of the pendulum-driven cart has been well studied in several literatures. The challenge issue of control of such underactuated systems is to control the motions of the pendulum and the cart by applyin...
INTERNAL FORCES IN DYNAMICS OF A TRANSLATIONAL 3-PUU PARALLEL ROBOT
Matrix relations in dynamics analysis of a spatial 3-PUU translational parallel manipulator are established in this paper. Giving the evolution of the platform, an inverse dynamic problem is solved based on a set of recu...
NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF NORMAL HUMAN GAIT FOR DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES WITH APPLICATION TO BIPEDAL LOCOMOTION
The objective of this study is to quantify and investigate nonlinear motion of the normal human knee joint in different walking conditions using nonlinear analysis. The kinematic data of the human knee flexion-extension a...
