Brecht dans le théâtre algérien

Abstract
L’influence occidentale sur le théâtre algérien ne se résume pas à Molière seulement. D’autres dramaturges ont inspiré les hommes de théâtre algériens qui ont traduit et adapté un certain nombre de pièces. Brecht, quant à lui, n’a fait son entrée sur la scène algérienne qu’une fois l’indépendance acquise. En réalité, pour les Algériens le théâtre brechtien correspondait bien à leurs interrogations, non seulement sur la mission du théâtre, mais surtout sur la pratique théâtrale. Des troupes de théâtre amateur ou encore des écrivains de théâtre professionnel ont bel et bien été influencés par Brecht.
