Abstract

A lie, on the one hand, is considered a common phenomenon, on the other — it is rated as an action or proceeding that is ethically and morally reprehensible. There is no doubt that a lie — as a common phenomenon — constitutes an integral part of interpersonal communication. The purpose of this article is to present basic information on the communication process, describing its structure, as well as an attempt to analyze lies as a specific kind of act of communication.
