Briquetting of dusty rock-salt in roll presses
Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2012, Vol 66, Issue 5
Abstract
The article presents results of briquetting rock-salt mined in „Polkowice-Sieroszowice” mine. The experiment was run in a laboratory of Department of Manufacturing Systems AGH University of Science and Technology. We used gravity fed roll press LPW 450 to obtain briquet that can be used in either consumption aims or industrial aims. In addition, we presented results of examination on energy demands for briquetting rock-salt in the roll presses. As a result, we present you - among other things – assumptions regarding industrial roll press of 500 milimeter diameter adapted for briquetting dusty rock-salt.
