Calculated and actual reductions of carbon dioxide emissions resulting from thermal modernization of public buildings

Abstract
The paper presents the reductions of carbon dioxide, resulting from calculations based on the implemented variants of energy audits, in several public buildings situated in North-Eastern Poland. The calculated values are compared with the actual reductions resulting from exploitation of the buildings. Obtained results in most objects were larger than the calculated ones (from 4.5% to less than 40%), in one case the effect was smaller of approximately 6%.[b]Keywords[/b]: ecological effects, reduction of carbon dioxide, thermomodernization, public buildings
