CALCULATION AND EXPERIMENTAL METHOD OF SUBSTANTIATION OF THE GRAIN SEPARATION COEFFICIENT

Abstract

To improve the efficiency of grain crops harvesting processes by establishing of design parameters and operating modes of the device for the combine harvester previous threshing system is used. Experimental studies were conducted on a real design combine harvester KZS-9-1 «Slavutych». The device of preliminary threshing of a grain harvester KZS 9-1 was investigated. It helps to separate 30-35% of grain in the early phases of transportation of grain-straw mass to the threshing-separating system of combine. The efficiency of grain preliminary threshing harvester device was estimated on the basis of the analysis of separated grain mass to the expected grain mass. The dependence of the separation factor of grain from the ears is established, which makes it possible to comprehensively evaluate the structural, technological and technical decisions concerning the device of previous threshing system. By calculation and experimental method it was established that for small values of capacity (2 kg/s) and length of field area (6 m) up to 93% of grain entering the feeder house of the reaper separates from the ear. This grain is deposited in the lower part of the feeder house and forms its flow. At the capacity of 2kg/s and the length of the field area of 15m, the grain separation coefficient reaches a value of 0.63. With the increase in the speed of the combine, the grain separation coefficient increases. The grain separation coefficient is 0.1 at a speed of combine 2 km/h, is 0.3 at a speed of combine 6 km/h and is 0.5 at a speed of combine 10 km/h.
