Calomicrus eocenicus sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae) from Baltic amber
Journal Title: Baltic Journal of Coleopterology - Year 2014, Vol 14, Issue 1
Abstract
A new leaf-beetle species, Calomicrus eocenicus sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae) is described from the Baltic amber. It is the first species of tribe Luperini described from fossil resins. A new paleoendemic species is compared with recent species of the genus and differs from them in distinctly larger and deeper elytral punctation and brownreddish body with dark brown head.

Contribution to the knowledge of the genus Doliops Waterhouse, 1841 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae)
Eight new species of the genus Doliops Waterhouse, 1841 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) are described and illustrated: D. anichtchenkoi sp. n., D. gutowskii sp. n., D. savenkovi sp. n., D. shavrini sp. n., D. sklodowskii sp....
Riverine ground beetles as indicators of inundation frequency of mountain stream: a case study of the Ochotnica Stream, Southern Poland
Effect of inundation frequency on carabid beetle assemblage structure and organization were studied in single cross-section of mountain stream. A non-metric multidimensional scaling performed on the Bray-Curtis matrix of...
Fox and martens – are they really opportunistic feeders? A case of beetles and other arthropods occurrence in carnivores’ diet

Role of urban forests as a source of diversity of carabids (Coleoptera: Carabidae) in urbanised areas
We analysed the structure of ground-beetle (Col.: Carabidae) assemblages populating urban forests which differed from one another in the composition of woody plants, soil cover with herbaceous plants, habitat humidity, a...
Variation in epigeic carabid fauna (Coleoptera: Carabidae) on differently-treated post-agricultural land
The treatment of post-agricultural areas may influence ecological processes such as succession, and thus influence species occurrence. We studied carabid coenoses on differently treated post-agricultural land. Carabids w...
