Cancer patients – in the past and at present
Journal Title: Advances of Science for Medicine - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper aims to present the approach to neoplastic diseases over the years. Cancer is currently the second most common cause of death in Poland. The development of medicine has offered increasing opportunities to explore and analyse the human body, its structure and components. Nevertheless, the number of cancer patients is still on the rise. Important aspects include not only prevention and treatment, but also all appropriate measures to assist patients in their recovery. Scientists have presented numerous theories concerning the emergence of cancer groups and their current significant increase in the incidence rate. However, it still remains an issue that requires further examination. The knowledge about cancer patients is not merely related to the treatment method that can be offered in each particular case, but also to the types of actions that should be avoided to ensure that patients’ health condition does not deteriorate.
