Journal Title: Journal of Evidence Based Medicine and Healthcare - Year 2014, Vol 1, Issue 8
Abstract
Carcinoma cervix is one of the most common malignancies in pregnancy with an estimated incidence of 0.8 to 1.5 cases per 10000 births. (1,2) 1-3% of women who are diagnosed to have cervical cancer are pregnant or in postpartum period at the time of diagnosis. (3) As pap smear is routinely recommended during reproductive age group and beyond, the routine antenatal visits during pregnancy provides a good opportunity to screen the women for cervical neoplasia. Here I report a case of pregnancy with carcinoma cervix.
