Case of advanced stage of foot onychomycosis

Abstract

An overview of statistics on fungal infections in the world, including Ukraine is presented. The localization of mycotic lesions, their causes, as well as associated diseases are considered. The clinic of lesions of mycotic infection was studied in the course of onychomycosis. A case of advanced stage of foot onychomycosis is described in a patient aged 80 years who has been ill for more than 20 years. She did not seek medical help and was engaged in self-treatment.
