CAVITATING MESENTERIC LYMPH NODE SYNDROME: A CASE REPORT
Journal Title: European Journal of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences - Year 2019, Vol 6, Issue 5
Abstract
Cavitating mesenteric lymph node syndrome is a very rare and poorly understood sequel of celiac disease. It is characterized by low attenuated (cystic) changes in mesenteric lymph nodes, clinical and gross hyposplenism with small bowel villous atrophy. We reported a case of 63 year old male who presented with a history of diarrhea, fatigue and weight loss. He got the diagnosis of celiac disease which was complicated by cavitating syndrome. The relative clinical features, diagnostic modalities, management and follow up will be discussed.
