CELL PHONE RADIATION AND THEIR EFFECTS ON BIOLOGICAL SYSTEM

Abstract

Cellular phones became an integral part of the most people live for easier connectivity and wireless communication. Cellular phones are defined as devices emitting radiofrequency electromagnetic waves (RF-EMW). These waves transmit signals from the cellular phone to the base stations and antennas. The microwave frequencies used in the cellular communication causes the thermal and non-thermal effects. The electromagnetic radiations are also recognized as the major cause of cancer. The present review discusses some of the health issues related with the cellular phone radiations.
