Çevre ve İnsan Güvenliği Kesişiminde Akdeniz Havzasında İklim Krizi

Abstract
The primary objective of our study is to understand the effects of the global climate crisis and to identify potential policy revisions that could be implemented to prevent the extinction risk that humanity might face if the crisis progresses in the future. To achieve this, the Mediterranean region was chosen as a regional example, and a global projection was analyzed based on this regional example. In our study, methods such as text analysis, comparative analysis, and theoretical framework were used. Based on the data from IPCC reports, both regional and global effects of the global climate crisis were identified. In addition to the current impacts, various expected impacts under different degree scenarios in the future were evaluated. The dimensions of these impacts on the Mediterranean region were determined, and the adequacy of the climate policies of the states in the region was analyzed. The inadequacy of current political developments to halt the progress of the global climate crisis was demonstrated with data. Subsequently, the necessity of policy revisions that need to be implemented at the political level was revealed through data analysis.
