Abstract
Changes of cellulose crystallinity determined microscopically in polarised light In the course of estimating the changes of cellulose crystallinity in wood decayed by two fungi species Trametes versicolor and Coniophora puteana, despite visible changes in appearance (Fig. 1, Fig. 2), quantitative analysis of brightness of digitally recorded photographs did not show any substantial differences in dimming of the image, as related to a progressive wood decay.
