Characterization of Thick Hard Layers with Ni-Cr-B-Fe-Al Alloy Obtained by Laser Cladding
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2009, Vol 32, Issue 1
Abstract
To increase the resistance to wear and corrosion of the surface layers made from steel with 0.45% C, multilayer deposition was tested by injection of powder with chemical composition of 8.9% Cr, 4.5% Fe, 5.1% B, 2, 4% Al, 0.6% Al; the remaining Ni, was melted in the bath with a CO2 laser in continuous wave and coupled to a mass in coordinates x-y-z. To establish the optimum deposition condition, the layers made with different laser regimes were characterized by macro-and microstructural analysis, qualitative analysis of phase with the radiation difractometry X microhardness analysis and determination of hardness on the surface of the deposited layer. Thermal stability of the laser deposited layers and their abrasive wear behavior were monitored.

Studies on the Effects of Olive Oil Oxidation
The aim of this study is the viscosity’s evolution depending on the temperature and the shear rate and the analysis of the transmittance spectra of the oxidized olive oil. Oxidation of olive oil is a process that leads t...
The Consequences of Heavy Metals Impact on Primary Teeth
Since the metals deposited in the teeth during formation and mineralization processes are to a large extent retained, human teeth receive a considerable attention as indicators of heavy metal exposure. The objective of t...
Study on the Rheology of Corn Oil Subjected to Forced Oxidation
This paper reflects a study on the rheology of corn oil in unoxidized state, subjected to forced oxidation treatment. Using the Rheotest2 system, the variation of dynamic viscosity with temperature and shear rate, using...
Mass Erosion and Material Transfer at the Deposition of Layers by Inverse Electroerosion
The deposition and alloying of the superficial layers by inverse electroerosion or by electric spark given by a vibrating electrode permits to obtain a large scale of properties at the surface of metallic materials from...
Nanocomposite Coatings Obtained by Electro-Co-Deposition of Inert Particles with Cobalt–a Review
The paper focuses on review investigations of electrodeposition processes of metallic coatings containing dispersed nanosized particles. The nanosized particles, suspended in the electrolyte by agitation and/or use of su...
