Journal Title: IOSR Journal of Dental and Medical Sciences (IOSR-JDMS) - Year 2018, Vol 17, Issue 1

Abstract

Cigarette smoking has been known to be the main cause of Airway diseases particularly Obstructive ones. The extent of airflow limitation depends on the number of cigarettes smoked and the duration of smoking. If intervened early, it may be reversible; however in most of the cases it becomes symptomatic only in later stages when there is significant decline in FEV1
