Abstract
Ogienko M. M., Gurina O.V., Timchenko N. M., Nicon D.I. Goals, principles and directions of transformation of regional socio-economic systems. The theoretical approaches to the processes of transformation and economic growth of regional socio-economic systems have investigated in the article. The principles of transformation and their main results have substantiated, the conceptual scheme of the transformation of regional systems have considered. Has noted, that the main objective of the transformation of the region is its effective development, which manifests itself in the more effective use of the productive forces, improvement of the processes of management at all levels of the system and improvement of living standards of the population. Transformational changes in regional socioeconomic systems are an integral part of the emergence of a market type of economic activity in Ukraine. The content of structural changes is carried out in accordance with the following main interrelated areas: liberalization of the economy; stabilization of the monetary unit and the financial system as a whole; development of entrepreneurship and creation of other institutional preconditions for economic growth and formation of an effective market economy; integration of the country's economy into the world economy; creation of preconditions for economic growth on the basis of growth of business activity of the population. One of the positive signs of the transformation of the regional socio-economic system is the economic growth of the region.
