Journal Title: Поволжская Археология - Year 2019, Vol 1, Issue 27
Abstract
Classification results of the adornment and suit accessories from the Nyrgynda II burial ground are represented in the paper. The burial ground was investigated by A.A. Spitsyn (1898) and V.F. Gening (1954, 1968). In total, 268 excavated graves were classified by V.F. Gening as burial complexes of the Piany Bor era. He also made a preliminary description of the resulting artefacts. The adornment and suit accessories have been divided into three categories by the authors. Based on the characteristic features, a clear division of the categories into types, subtypes, and variants was made. At the same time, scientific developments of researchers engaged in and dealing with such issues available today have been taken into account. This article presents only the first two adornment categories because the analyzed material of the burials has a large volume.
