Clinical Evaluation of Dahanadi Choorna in Panduroga

Abstract

Today, rising evidence and prevalence of anemia is global public health problem that can occur at all stages of life cycle.25 % of total world population i.e. 1.62 billion people has affected by anaemia.In Ayurveda, it can be correlated withPanduroga. Because of this increasing incidence, it has becoming a burning challenge for Ayurvedic scolars to search foran additional effective management of diseases.The study was aimed to evaluating the efficacy of Dahanadi Choorna inPanduroga. A total 60 no of patients ofPandurogawere selected and divided in to two groups. Group A (study group)patients were treated withDahanadi Choorna,while group B (control group) patents were treated withAmalkai Choornafor 21 days. Asseement was doneon the basis of sign & symptoms ofPandurogaand objective criteria.After evaluatingthe total effects of the treatment, it was observed that,In reduction ofHritspanda, Aarohan ayas, Ubahy padpindikodweshtanandDaurbalya, Dahanadi Choornais better thanAmalkai Choornaand it haveslightly significantaction on CBC and pulse ratelevel.Dahanadi Choornahas marked improvement (50-75%) thanAmalaki Choornainreducing symptoms ofPanduroga.
