CLINICAL MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS WITH HEART FAILURE

Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2025, Vol 4, Issue 2

Abstract

Heart failure (HF) is a complex clinical syndrome characterized by the inability of the heart to pump sufficient blood to meet the metabolic demands of the body. It is a growing global health concern, with rising rates of incidence due to an aging population and increasing prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity. The condition is associated with high morbidity, frequent hospitalizations, and mortality rates. Effective management of heart failure is essential to improve quality of life, reduce hospital admissions, and ultimately, prolong survival. This review article presents an in-depth analysis of the clinical management strategies for patients with heart failure. It covers the pathophysiology of heart failure, diagnostic tools, pharmacological treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and advanced therapies. Additionally, the paper explores the role of a multidisciplinary approach in the management of heart failure, emphasizing the importance of early detection, patient education, and personalized treatment plans. The findings of this review suggest that a combination of pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies, alongside advanced therapeutic interventions, can significantly improve outcomes for heart failure patients.
