CLOUD COMPUTING AS A NEW BUSINESS PARADIGM

Abstract

Cloud computing or cloud computing can be defi ned as computer evolution thatbegan 30 years ago and represents the integration of several technologies (Autonomic Computing,Grid Computing, Utility Computing and Virtualization) located in remote andguarded data centers. Although only a few years in wide use, greatly changed the way we usecomputers not only in the business sector, but also in other segments of society. Social networks,mobile technologies and services on the Internet such as Skype and other services to communicate,share fi les and photos, the entertainment industry and others. based on cloud computingtechnology, but we are not even aware of. In this paper, several common business scenariosin which the cloud computing technology optimal choice compared to the now classic clientserverarchitecture. Cloud computing platform that handles the work represents the MicrosoftAzure platform, which represents the most complete and fastest growing cloud platform today. Cloud computing ili računanje u oblaku možemo defi nisati kao kompjutersku evolucijuzapočetu prije 30 godina, a predstavlja integraciju nekoliko tehnologija (AutonomicComputing, Grid Computing, Utility Computing and Virtualization) smještenu u udaljenimi čuvanim data centrima. Iako je samo par godina u širokoj upotrebi, uveliko je promijenilanačin na koji koristimo kompjuter ne samo u poslovnom domenu, već i u drugimdruštvenim segmentima. Društvene mreže, mobilne tehnologije, te usluge na internetu poputSkypa i drugih servisa za komunikaciju, dijeljenje datoteka i fotografi ja, industrija zabave idr. bazirani su na cloud computing tehnologiji, a da toga nismo ni svjesni. U ovom radu prezentiranoje nekoliko najčešćih poslovnih scenarija pri kojem je cloud computing tehnologijaoptimalniji izbor u odnosu na sada već klasičnu klijent-server arhitekturu. Cloud computingplatforma koja se u radu obrađuje predstavlja Microsoft Azure platformu, a koja predstavljanajkompletniju i najbrže rastuću cloud platformu danas.
