Cognitive Space of Ukrainological Communication: Theoretical Observations
Journal Title: Українознавство - Year 2018, Vol 4, Issue 69
Abstract
The article considers the tasks which will be solved by modern Ukrainian studies, relying on the key directions of the up-to-date research in the field of philology and cultural studies. Instrumental and methodological potentials for Ukrainian studies (Ukrainology) which belong to the cognitive realm are noted. The field of methodological application of the cognitive science for Ukrainian studies is outlined. This can be a communicative field of knowledge, dominated by Ukrainian-centric forms of representation and commitment created through personalistic psychology; however, we, first of all, mean the image of Ukraine that is presented in the information strategies of the present. The creative consonance seen as the continuity, which combines the modern “breakthrough” and the previous epochal “guidelines” in the semantic structuring of textual creation, is also emphasized. The text as a complex formation is considered with the support of the multilayer semantic content, which has the Latin notion of “textum”. This causes the appearance of the possible grounds for a comprehensive consideration of cultural events, which are presented in this form of existence, created as the “text of culture”. Serving the need for an expanded, detailed, and, in some cases – sectional consideration of the phenomena of cultural development; taking into account the individual positions of the existence of the work, the creator, and the cultural “created things”, such an instrumental form as “textualia” is proposed. This gives an increasing opportunity to consider forms of unfolding the thinking potential involved in artistic contemplation and cognitive strategies (mental-speech factors) for the creation of communication and the text complex. At the same time, the factor of “superstructure” in the language is considered, and, therefore, the functioning of the variety of “modual” (“modular”) languages; that is, the plurality of languages of the artistic world as a modeling of space of one’s “own” observed “cultural environment”.
