Abstract
It took a tragedy to wake shared sense of responsibility and involvement , the awareness of the need for profound change in Romanian society. Disaster victims has exceeded the borders of Romania being one an Italian and a Turkish student. Collective it meant that an era ended and another began by large street protests that were held in major Romanian cities, protests that brought down the government of Victor Ponta by the latter’s resignation.
