Abstract

The paper presents a rational critique of some interpretations by Dr. Paweł E. Tomaszewski of certain facts from the biography of Jan Czochralski (1885–1953) and of the convention adopted by Dr. Paweł E. Tomaszewski, of in which biographical archival sources and literature are relied on too infrequently. Consequently, certain interpretations of this author become too literary, which may give rise to a new histo- riographical myth of Jan Czochralski.
