Comparative Analysis of Innovative Policies of Developed and Developing Countries

Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the innovation policy of the European Union, USA, Japan and Ukraine. The author presents the main objectives of innovation strategies and tools supporting innovation within the framework of European integration and traces the evolution of activities undertaken in this field. Equally important is the assessment of the effectiveness of the innovation policy of the European Union, the USA, Japan and Ukraine, based on the Global Index of Innovation, as well as priorities for innovative development of these countries.
