Comparative Analysis of Quality of Life in Patients with Chronic Biliary Pancreatitis in Different Groups depending on the Duration of the Disease

Journal Title: Гастроентерологія - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 58

Abstract

In comparative assessment of the quality of life of patients with chronic biliary pancreatitis by all SF-36 scales there was proved that it was significantly higher in patients after laparoscopic and lowest — after open cholecystectomy; p < 0.05. In assessing the quality of life by pain scale the severity of pain was found to decrease with duration of chronic biliary pancreatitis (r = 0.31), and general health was worse (r = –0.24); p < 0.05. Reduced quality of life is in close correlation with the frequency of aggravations within a year (r = 0.83); p < 0.05.
