Comparative legal characteristics of gender budgeting: general theoretical aspect

Abstract
The scientific article is devoted to highlighting the foreign experience of introducing gender-oriented budgeting at the legislative level through the example of Austria, Belgium, Sweden, and other countries. The opportunities and advantages of gender budgeting in Ukraine are revealed. According to the results of the analysis of the national legislation, it was concluded that a special law should be adopted to ensure equal opportunities for women and men in the budgetary sphere. We specified that gender budgets can help bridge these gaps by ensuring more efficient collection and spending of public resources.
