Comparative Study of Harris and Active Contour Using Viola-Jones Algorithm for Facial Landmarks Detection
Journal Title: Transactions on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 4
Abstract
In this paper, we present a comparative study of two methods: Harris corners detector (H) and Active Contour detector (A.C) using ViolaJones algorithm (V.J) for facial landmarks (eyes, nose, mouth) corners detection. These methods were implemented on two face databases; ECVP and FEI databases with combination of two methods (V.J + H) and (V.J + A.C). Experimental results showed that (V.J +A.C) gives a higher rate of detection than (V.J + H) method.

Frame Based Postprocessor for Speech Recognition Based on Augmented Conditional Random Fields
In this paper, we present a novel postprocessor for speech recognition using the Augmented Conditional Random Field (ACRF) framework. In this framework, a primary acoustic model is used to generate state poste- rior scor...
Computing on Encrypted Data into the Cloud though Fully Homomorphic Encryption
Securing Data in the cloud based on Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) is a new and potential form of security that allows computing on encrypted data without decrypted it first. However, a practical FHE solution is not...
Effects of Strengths of Steel and Concrete, Eccentricity and Bar Size on the Optimization of Eccentrically Loaded Footings
This paper aims to explore effects of the yield strength of steel, compressive strength of concrete, eccentricity of the axial load and steel bar size on the optimization of reinforced concrete isolated footings. The opt...
Functional Implementation of Multiple Traversals Program with Attribute Grammars in Scala
Attribute grammars are a powerful specification paradigm for many language processing tasks, particularly the semantic analysis of programming languages. To functionally evaluate attributes grammar in Scala, the studies...
