Comparison and Study of AOMDV and DSDV Routing Protocols in MANET Using NS-2
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2012, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes communicating with each other using multi-hop wireless. One of the main challenges of MANET is the design of robust routing algorithms that adapt to the frequent and randomly changing network topology. A variety of routing protocols have been proposed and several of them have been extensively simulated or implemented as well. In this paper, we compare and evaluate the performance metrics of two types of routing protocols - Ad-hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) routing protocol , which is a multipath routing protocol and Destination sequence distance vector (DSDV) routing protocol based on various simulations like varying pause time and varying maximum speed of the moving nodes.

Modeling Academic Performance Evaluation Using Soft Computing Techniques: A Fuzzy Logic Approach
We have proposed a Fuzzy Expert System (FES) for student academic performance evaluation based on fuzzy logic techniques. A suitable fuzzy inference mechanism and associated rule has been discussed. It introduces the pri...
Speech Quality Requirements over DSL Networks
Abstract— Quality of service (QoS) has been a feature of voice communication networks almost since their inception. The extension of traditional voice QoS methods to data communication networks and the Internet has been...
Differential Evolution for Optimization of PID Gains in Automatic Generation Control
Automatic generation control (AGC) of a multi area power system provides power demand signals for AGC power generators to control frequency and tie-line power flow due to the large load changes or other disturbances. Occ...
