Journal Title: Дослідження в математиці і механіці - Year 2014, Vol 19, Issue 4
Abstract
In this paper we consider hp-adaptive finite element method for 1D convection-diffusion-advection boundary value problem and present comparative analysis of numerical results obtained using combination of introduced algorithm with different kinds of a posteriori error estimators, and element refinement criteria.

On a two-step algorithm in structural and parametric optimization problems of linear control systems.
This paper deals with applying of a two-step optimization algorithm for structural and parametric optimization problems of linear control systems with fixed and floating switching points.
ASYMPTOTIC REPRESENTATIONS OF SOLUTIONS WITH SLOWLY VARYING DERIVATIVES
Second-order differential equations with power and exponential nonlinearities on the right hand side play an important role in the development of a qualitative theory of differential equations. The authors of most works...
Linear-inversive congruential generator of PRN’s
The inversive congruential method for generating uniform pseudorandom numbers is a particulary attractive alternative to inversive congruential generators, which show many undesirable regularities. In the present paper a...
On an adaptive method of regulator parameters adjustment at discrete time points
We offer an adaptive method of regulator parameters correction at discrete points of time. The method is based on the following idea: we choose the parameters of the parametric regulator at discrete moments of time minim...
AN ITERATIVE ALGORITHM FOR CALCULATION OF EIGENVALUES AND EIGENFUNCTIONS OF THE STURM--LIOUVILLE PROBLEM
An iterative algorithm for computing the i-th eigenvalue (e. v.) and the corresponding eigenfunction (e. f.) of the Sturm--Liouville problem on a finite interval is proposed. The algorithm uses the well-known asymptotic...
