Comparison of error indicators and refinement criteria for hp-adaptation algorithm for finite element method
Journal Title: Дослідження в математиці і механіці - Year 2014, Vol 19, Issue 4
Abstract
In this paper we consider hp-adaptive finite element method for 1D convection-diffusion-advection boundary value problem and present comparative analysis of numerical results obtained using combination of introduced algorithm with different kinds of a posteriori error estimators, and element refinement criteria.

Average number of squares dividing mn
We study the asymptotic behaviour of the two-dimensional summatory function _ m,n_x τ1,2(mn), where τ1,2(n) = _ ab2=n 1, using recent result of Balazard, Naimi, P´etermann and the complex integration method. An asymptoti...
On some nonlocal boundary value problems for nonlinear ordinary differential equations with delay
The results of this paper were reported at International Workshop “Nonlinear Analysis and Nonautonomous Ordinary Differential Equations” (Odessa, Ukraine, June 23-27, 2017). In the paper, nonlocal boundary value problems...
Initial-boundary value problems for nonlinear parabolic equations with the variable exponents of nonlinearity and integral operators type Volterra
Initial-boundary value problems for nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equations with the variable exponents of nonlinearity are investigated. Weak solutions which belong to the generalized Sobolev and Lebesgue spac...
About solvability of initial problem for differential equation with maximum
Initial value problem for differential equation with maximum is considered. Sufficient conditions of existence and uniqueness solution for this problem are presented.
Nonlinear observer for system of the Van der Pol oscillators
The problem of velocities determination for interconnected Van der Pole oscillators by known data is considered as observation problem. Such systems arise on modelling of many cyclical biological or physical processes. A...
