Comparison of the advantages of hydroponic systems as agricultural alternatives in urban areas
Journal Title: Minerva Journal - Year 2021, Vol 2, Issue 4
Abstract
This work arises from the general investigation of hydroponic techniques, taking into account their advantages and disadvantages in order to find that determining factor through a comparison of hydroponic techniques that allow classifying them and choosing the best option that generates less environmental impact. negative and prove to be more productive in urban settings. Additionally, a determining factor in cities is their limited space, so the best option should also include optimal space management that allows almost any individual to apply them from their environment without resorting to excessive modifications. As main result, recirculating hydroponics was chosen as the predominant method due to the excellent results obtained in relation to the others, additionally, it can be easily applied in urban environments due to its versatility and good resource management.
