Compensation of errors and adjusting the position of the gun relative to the target with the compatible rapid movement of the tower and the machine

Abstract

Instrumentation complexes of weapon stabilizers are used for modernization of the existing and light armored combat vehicles BTR, BMP, BMD and other modifications. They are designed for stabilized guidance and escort in horizontal and vertical ground surfaces, air and surface targets for effective firing from the city, on the move and afloat. The use of a modern element base has made it possible to significantly improve the characteristics of the whole complex of the armament stabilizer. According to the technical characteristics of the weapon stabilizer, the combat capabilities of armored vehicles are expanded by more accurate targeting and stabilization on the target, facilitating the ability of the crew to control the tower, and also do not require a redirection to the same target after the shot. The article deals with the algorithm used in adjusting the position of the gun relative to the target with the rapid joint movement of the tower and the machine. The algorithm is calculated in the mathematical block of the stabilization system. The formula is derived in an analytical form for its further application in the mathematical blocks of the stabilization system and the calculations are put where a mathematical model is obtained which allows to improve the accuracy of the stabilization if this mathematical model is introduced into the algorithmic block of the stabilization system. The conclusions analyzed the results and provided recommendations for the application of the algorithm.
