COMPETITIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY OF POLISH FRUIT FARMS IN 2013-2015

Abstract

The paper presents competitiveness and efficiency of the Polish Fruit farms covered by the Polish FADN monitoring in 2013-2015. Competitiveness of the researched fruit farms was determined by competitiveness index calculated as a ratio of farm income to costs of using own factors of production: land, labour and capital (as in: W. Kleinhanss). Approximately 32% of households through generated revenue are able to fully compensate for the alternative costs of their own production factors.
