Computational Analysis of Passive Cooling Technique Applied to A Room Under Naturally Induced Flow
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering Research and Development (IJMPERD ) - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 6
Abstract
In 21st century, the global warming has become great threat to mankind. The Air Conditioner became mandatory for room cooling in all the households which releases poisonous gases like CFCs and CO2 and also depends on electric power. The best promising alternative for less energy consumption is the passive cooling technique. Passive cooling (PC) is the process of reducing the temperature of a specified region without using electricity. In this paper, we discussed about the passive cooling of a room with the help of natural convection and solar chimney. The set up consists of a plastic pipe, copper pipe, solar chimney and a room. The solar chimney reduces the density of the air in the chimney, due to this density difference, the cool air enters the room and the air present in the room flows into the chimney. The atmospheric air is passed through the copper pipe which is placed underground near the water resource. So the heat available in the atmospheric air will be convected naturally through the walls of copper pipe to the water. In this experiment, we achieved about 1.5 to 2K of temperature reduction.

The Demand Forecasting: A Comparative Review of Conventional and Non-Conventional Techniques
Since the inception of competitive markets, demand forecasting has gradually become a fundamental process for all types of the industry’s decision making mechanisms. Over the years, the bulk of research was focussed on t...
Structure of Fuzzy Control Module with Neural Network
The paper deals with the fuzzy control module’s structure, which has the property that is deficit in "conventional" uncertain systems - the skill to learn. This is attained by offering the control module in the form of a...
Configuration of Optimal Cross Bore Shape in Elastic Pressurized High Pressure Vessels
Numerous analyses were performed to establish the optimal shape between circular and elliptical plain cross bore at both radial and offset positions in closed thick walled cylinders. Seven cross bored cylinders with thic...
The Mathematical Modelling and Performance Evaluation of Paint Manufacturing System using Fuzzy Reliability Approach
In the present paper, we present a novel method for performance evaluation of a paint manufacturing plant in which five subsystems are connected in series configuration. The mathematical modelling of the system is carrie...
Experimental Investigations of Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting with Turbulent Flow
Agreeing to the Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting Forecast by IDTechEx, the development of the piezoelectric industry is reckoned from $145 million in 2018 to $667 million in 2022. This clearly indicates the escalation of...
