Computer Aided Selection of Material Handling Equipment
Journal Title: RECENT - Year 2013, Vol 14, Issue 40
Abstract
Implementing automated material handling system improve the productivity and profitability of a company. Despite these advantages, implementing such a system implies investments thus the increase of the product’s cost. Thus, it is imperative to understand the many aspects related to such a system before purchase one. In the literature there are some principles that should be followed before choosing a material handling system but there are few software designed for this. Present paper present such a software design for choosing the appropriate conveyor system based on the plant facility design and manufacturing system characteristics.

Numerical Analyses of the Feeder Number Influence on the Residual Stress in a Steel Casting
In the present article, the residual stresses, formed during the cooling of a steel sand casting, are achieved by computer simulation. The casting is a real industrial product - an elevator brake wheel made of low carbon...
Investigation of the Influence of Mollusc Hydrolyzate on the Elastic Properties of Wheat and Rye Dough
Principal trends of improving wheat and rye product technologies have been analysed in the article. The influence of mollusc hydrolyzate on forming structural and mechanical properties of the dough has been studied, name...
Evolution of the Solid Fraction at the Solidification of a 0.1 %C Steel
To achieve mathematical models and software for solidification simulation casted pieces it is necessary to know the fraction of the solid variation at solidification. In the case of the alloys form solid solution by soli...
Dimensional Variation of Polyurethane Foam Panel on Circular Cutting with Abrasive Water Jet Technology
The abrasive water jet method can offer a suitable solution for manufacturing of polyurethane foam panel that are usually difficult to do. This paper presents the results of some experiments on abrasive water jet cutting...
Influence of Spool Supplied Flow Non-Linearity on the Behaviour of the Hydraulic Motor
This article studies how non-linearity of the flow supplied by the electrohydraulic servovalve spool influences the dynamic behaviour of the controlled linear hydraulic motor. It approaches the case of hydraulic spool ma...
