COMPUTER TESTING IN THE MONITORING SYSTEM OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION COMPETENCY OF FUTURE MASTERS AND DOCTORS OF PHILOSOPHY IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION

Abstract
The using of information and communication technologies is a necessary part of future scientists training now, including the professional training of the future masters and doctors of philosophy in the field of education. The ICT using issues are studied by many domestic and foreign researchers, among them V. Bykov, R. Hurevych, S. Ivanova, M. Kademiia, M. Leshchenko, L. Luparenko, O. Spirin, Th. Daccord, A. November, B. Drushel, J. Reich, V. Scott and many others. The importance of ICTcompetence in the educational system modernization is certificated by Ukrainian laws, including the Law On Education, the State Standard of Primary Education, and foreign documents, for example UNESCO ІСТ Competency Standards for Teachers. The actual term of foreign science is the digital competence which is used as a synonymous notion of ICT competence. The purpose of this article is to analyse the experience of monitoring the level of ICT competence cognitive component of the future masters and doctors of philosophy in the field of education. The testing method is used as a purposeful and the same for all respondents’ examination which was conducted in controlled conditionals. The statistical methods of obtained data analysis with using of tools MS Excel and MOODLE Statistic are used too. The phases of test construction, including its purpose, the content of theoretical material, which must be checked, the building of the test matrix, the creating of test tasks in accordance with the levels of cognitive activity and the expertise of the test are described in the article. The test result is the clarification of the future scientists’ IC-competence cognitive component level which is quite low. In addition, the authors note that it is necessary to introduce a new specific course for studying the ICT opportunities for organizing and conducting pedagogical researches.
