CONCEPTUAL APPROACHES TO INTERPRETATION OF THE SCIENTIFIC CATEGORIES «PERFORMANCE» AND «EFFICIENCY»

Abstract
The article investigates the evolution of scientific views on the essence of the categories of “efficiency” and “performance” of the organization. Their common and distinctive characteristics are identified. It is proved that the category of “efficiency” is one of the criteria of performance, and “performance” is a generalization category. The concept of the organization’s performance as a modern stage in the development of theories of economic efficiency is reasoned.
