Conditions of innovativeness growth of enterprises in Poland

Abstract
Innovativeness activity of enterprises is stimulated by a number of factors which have their source inside the company or its surroundings. The aim of the article is to specify the determinants stimulating innovativeness of industrial enterprises in Poland, on the bases of survey research conducted among entrepreneurs. Factors which are perceived as the most favourable for the growth of innovativeness in industrial enterprises are: existing atmosphere of mutual trust between employees, especially executive employees, and managerial staff as well as possession of their own financial resources. The respondents emphasise the significant role of competition in stimulating innovativeness. Awareness of the enterprise concerning innovativeness activities of competing companies and market pressure on constant improving of products are perceived as other important stimulators of introducing of product and process innovations in industrial companies.(original abstract)
