CONFIGURATION OF FRAZEOLOGICAL UNITS OF ENGLISH IN THE CONTEMPORARY FICTIONAL DISCOURSE

Abstract
The article deals with configurations of phraseological units of English in contemporary fictional discourse. From the point of view of general and occasional use of phraseological units, the author distinguishes four types of phraseological configurations: general configuration of the first degree, general configuration of the second degree, occasional configuration of the first degree, and occasional configuration of the second degree. The phraseological units, which are a part of the general phraseological configuration, retain their traditional structure and component composition unchanged. The phraseological units are implemented without any transformation of their meaning, structure and component composition. In the occasional configuration, occasionally transformed phraseological units are implemented.
