CONNECTION OF СOHESION WITH STANDARD QUALITY CHARACTERISTICHS OF BITUMEN BINDERS

Abstract
The connection of cohesion as a fundamental characteristic of the bituminous binders quality with characteristics regulated by technical requirements for paving grade petroleum road bitumen – penetration, softening point, and residual penetration is considered. Cohesion-penetration dependencies of bituminous binders were established. On their basis it was proposed to normalize the cohesion index for different penetration grade bitumens in accordance with the DSTU 4044-2001 specification
