CONSEQUENCES OF DEAGRARIANISATION PROCESS IN PRODUCTION AND ECOLOGICAL SPHERE IN SELECTED DISTRICTS OF PODKARPACKIE VOIVODESHIP

Abstract
In this paper there have been presented the results of research, conducted in 2016, in order to diagnose and evaluate the condition of agriculture in the aspect of advancement of deagrarianisation process in 7 districts, located in Podkarpackie Voivodeship. There were showed some selected problems of deagrarianisation process in the agricultural production area. Moreover, for Kolbuszów District, where those changes have been particularly advanced, there have been outlined threats in terms of reduction of the biodiversity on arable land and grasslands, resulting from the discontinuation of agricultural use. Studies have shown that in the Podkarpacie region deagrarianisation process is advanced, as about 63% of farms do not maintain livestock, about 34% declare that part of the farmland is abandoned, and estimated average share of setaside is about 21%. There is also a large share of households in recession (34%) and declining (41%). The abandonment of plant production also poses a major threat to the diversity of plant species on the Kolbuszów Plateau, associated with agrocenoses, in particular segetals weeds and some indigenous species from meadows. It can be seen that, as a result of the abandonment of the land, they show a marked decrease in the number of localities, which makes them rare and consequently threatened with extinction.<br/><br/>
